After nearly two years of implementing the project of developing community tourism in Ngoc Lang vegetable village (Tuy Hoa city), there are three more households registering the project with four ones participating from the beginning.
Households involved in the project are initially supported with 30 million dongs per each by the People's Committee of Tuy Hoa city in order to buy necessary items to serve tourists in vegetable village, renovate toilets, decorate garden and etc. In the recent experience with people in Ngoc Lang vegetable village in the project of developing community tourism, representatives of travel agencies in the province have appreciated the changes of awareness of people in turning farming product into tourism product. All households have invested and taken care of vegetable gardens as well as infrastructure to welcome tourists. However, the reality also shows that tourism products in Ngoc Lang vegetable village still has numerous limitations such as lack of beautiful little products for sale or giving tourists, not having space to serve large groups, not investing in farmer costumes for tourists to hire; roads into the village have not been cleaned, etc.
Phu Yen Newspaper would like to introduce some of the images of tourists and travel agencies having experience with people in Ngoc Lang vegetable village which is recovering after stormy days.
