Ca pass belongs to Hoa Xuan Nam commune, Dong Hoa town, adjacent to Khanh Hoa province. This is a place associated with numerous historical events and also a highlight for visitors when coming to Dong Hoa town...

Standing on Ca pass and looking to the East Sea, you can see Hon Kho island near Da Nong estuary and Hon Nua island at the southern gateway of Vung Ro; at the foot of the pass is a panoramic view of Vung Ro bay. This is a beautiful bay adjacent to Van Phong bay - Dai Lanh (Khanh Hoa); mountains surround all three sides, forming a closed bay with a water surface of 1.640 ha, the longest way in the Northwest - Southeast of 6km, average width of 2,5 km and average depth of from 10m to 19m. Around Vung Ro, there are 12 small and medium sand beaches, some of them have resorts of resting and swimming. During the resistance war against America, Vung Ro was a place to receive weapons, ammunition and combat equipment from the North to support the South. This is a national landscape with great potential for sea and island tourism development in the coming time. Vung Ro is also a deep and windy water port, convenient for ships to escape from storms and provide goods for provinces in the Central Highlands and South Central areas.

At the foot of Ca pass is Hao Son village (Hoa Xuan Nam commune) - where on September 2nd, 1936, the North-South railway was connected with the witness of the Governor-General of French Indochina Eugène Jean Louis Réne Robin and Bao Dai king.

Due to the topographical structure, most of the historical and scenic spots of Dong Hoa town are on the southern area of the town, creating populations of Ca pass, Vung Ro, Han dam, Dien cape, Ho beach... From Ca pass, you can enjoy the panoramic view of Dai Lanh and Vung Ro waters with a vast emerald color. Looking to the west, you can admire Han dam, a very poetic ecotourism site with waterfall, lake and lots of rocks; Ho beach used to be a vast lagoon with many shrimps and fishes, even crocodiles. In the east is Dien cape (also known as Dai Lanh cape) on Hon Ba mountain, the easternmost point on the mainland of the country with a lighthouse built in 1890. Slightly down is Vung Ro - one of the secret harbor of No number vessels on Ho Chi Minh trail at sea transporting ammunition from the North to the South battlefield...

From the summit of Ca pass, overlooking a vast sky, Dong Hoa town is like a charming picture with plains, mountains and sea. The field viewed from the top of Ca pass is like an immense silk carpets, sometimes embracing a village and then running along the highway. It also has seasonal changes: sometimes green, sometimes yellow or blue in the burning season... All of these things create a scenery of a peaceful suburb of the town.

According to the approved master plan, by 2035, the center of Dong Hoa town will have an area of from 2.000 – 2.500ha and a population of from 15 to 16 thousand people. Dong Hoa town develops in the form of "compressed - central" urban area, including 2 areas and 3 corridors developing at the same time. "Compressed" urban aims to save energy, shorten travel distance, make best use of land resources, connect well between urban and rural areas, increase the provision of public services and the ability to create employment and services at residence; urban centers have a higher construction density than other areas...
