Phu Yen “muong-ditch” fish soliciting tourists

Ditch fish has the long swelte body about 10 to 15cm long, silver scale, as big as an adult’s forefinger, the name “ditch” fish is given merely due to the fact that the fish reside only in ditches, in Phu Yen province alone, along Ngan Son river (Tuy An district), the density is at the largest.

A new day in Long Thuy fishing village (An Phu commune, Tuy Hoa city) starts at about 4.30 a.m, when most ships leaving the afternoon before are coming back to the shore, bringing about tons of seafood. Most women, men in the hamlet are available on the shore to start the earning. All steps from transporting ships onshore, classifying, bargaining, purchasing, transporting for consumption…are held within 3 hours. After that, the beach is only presented with children having fun in the sunrise.

Recently, the embankment area full of green mossy in Ro neighborhood, Phu Dong ward, Tuy Hoa city, has become an attraction to many locals and visitors near and far who come to firsthand see the transcendental beauty. The embankment work against coastal erosion is concrete foundations and stone slabs dropped into the water, which has been stack green moss after a long time. The long moss stalk floating on the semi-submerged rocks in water has fascinated visitors.

Since the Lunar New Year, many visitors, especially the young, have shared unique images of rocks filled green moss in Ro neighborhood (Phu Dong ward, Tuy Hoa city). In the mornings and afternoons, hundreds of people enjoy the sea wind at the embankment and take memorial photos besides the rocks full of moss.

Da Nong water and river festival

As usual, the traditional festival of Da Nong water and river in Dong Hoa district is held at the beginning of the lunar New Year in Hoa Hiep Nam commune, and this festival is well attended, applauded by local people. This venue has become one exciting spring destination, also, for admiring the district’s inhabitants to compete in swimming, coracle shaking, dragon-boat racing; the festival is preceded with the “cau ngu” festival, temple singing and the musical performance to welcome the Lunar New Year 2016.
