Enhancing the measures to prevent and cope with COVID-19, actively controlling situations

Phu Yen provincial Directive Board for preventing and controlling the acute pneumonia caused by SARS-CoV-2 has just had the meeting under the chairmanship of PPC Chairman, deputy secretary of the provincial Party committee and head of the directive board, with the purpose of continuing to enhance the task of prevent and control COVID-19 in the new period.

The PPC Chairman requested the levels, sectors, collectives and organizations… to enhance mobilizing, propagating for each residential community, each family and inhabitant to strictly implement the directions of the Prime Minister at the periodical meeting of the government on preventing, controlling COVID-19 on March 23rd: drastically changing the habits, daily routines to cope with the requests on preventing and controlling epidemic, with such actions as wearing facial masks, increasing online transaction, minimizing gathering in crowded places, wearing facial masks in public places, on the public means of transportation; warning against coming to public places, crowding at weddings, funerals; temporarily closing the unnecessary services as karaoke, massage, bars, dance clubs, theaters, stadiums…); mobilizing the religious organizations not to organize rituals, the activities with numerous people…

The acute pneumonia caused by SARS-CoV-2 is happening unexpectedly complicatedly all over the world. In Vietnam, the task of preventing and controlling COVID-19 has shifted to the third phase. In Phu Yen province, the medical conditions are quite difficult in comparison with other major cities and provinces in the country. “Therefore, the task of preventing and controlling the epidemic has to be further and drastically enhanced. Not for the reason that the province has not received any case of epidemic that we are neglective and subjective.

It is a must to strictly and closely prevent once the epidemic has not occurred”, comrade Pham Dai Duong directed. According to Mr. Duong, it is vital to construct scripts of preventing and controlling the epidemic with the predictions and solutions for the worst situation. As such, it is essential to have the harmonious and synchronous coordination of all sectors, with the pivotal role being played by the Health Sector. Depending on the developments of the epidemic and the conditions of the locality, the province issues the directions on ways to prevent and control the epidemic timely, under the directions of the central government and precautions of the Ministry of Health.
