The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has just approved the Vietnam Community Tourism Development Project for the period 2024-2030. Accordingly, the cross-cutting perspective of the project is to develop sustainable community-based tourism in accordance with tourism development strategy and planning, tourism product development strategy as well as security, national defense, and social order; enhance the value of natural resources, historical landmarks, and scenic areas while contributing to the preservation of cultural heritage, landscapes, and environmental protection.
For Phu Yen tourism, landscape factors and cultural tourism resources serve as critical resources for the community tourism development. This is considered the right direction, bringing the most sustainable economic development benefits to indigenous people. It not only enables the protection of natural resources and the environment but also preserves and promotes the unique cultural heritage of the locality. In the orientation of Phu Yen province's tourism development strategy for the period 2024-2030, with a vision toward 2050, community tourism is identified as one of the key growth areas with significant potential.
