The representative of Vietnam Volleyball Federation has recently had a working session with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the sponsor about the coordination of organizing the 2025 Asian Women's Beach Volleyball Championship. Phu Yen Newspaper had an interview with Mr Pham Ngoc Son, Vice President of Vietnam Volleyball Federation, as related to the favorable conditions of Phu Yen in hosting this continental tournament.

* What advantages does Phu Yen province have in organizing the 2025 Asian Women's Beach Volleyball Championship, sir?

- Through the working session with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DOCST) and the sponsor, I realize the determination of Phu Yen province in calculating and implementing specific tasks to organize the 2025 Asian Women's Beach Volleyball Championship. This thing is welcome, because Phu Yen is aiming to develop tourism into a spearhead economic sector. Beach volleyball can join hands to create an effect for the development of Phu Yen sports and tourism in the coming time.

Next, I can affirm that Phu Yen owns a very beautiful and pristine beach; the quality of sand ensures athletes’ competition. This is an ideal condition to organize a beach volleyball tournament, especially a continental tournament such as the 2025 Asian Women's Beach Volleyball Championship. In addition, the system of hotels and restaurants ensures accommodation of foreign athletes.

The Vietnam Volleyball Federation coordinated with the DOCST to organize 3 national beach volleyball tournaments before (the latest being the Youth Championship and the 2x2 National Championship in 2024). I am impressed that Phu Yen did a very good job of organizing matches, fields, etc., especially the staff of the Sports Training and Competition Center. They performed their duties very responsibly, helping the tournament to be a great success.

These are favorable conditions of Phu Yen that are not found in other localities. I think that provinces and cities with tourism advantages like Phu Yen should exploit and promote them.

* In order to organize the 2025 Asian Women's Beach Volleyball Championship, what should Phu Yen province do, sir?

- As I said, Phu Yen has favorable conditions to organize the 2025 Asian Women's Beach Volleyball Championship. However, for the continental tournament, being more careful and making thorough preparation is vital. The tournament will have 48 athletes from 12 countries in Asia. In addition to professional factors, the Asian Volleyball Federation will have requirements for the host organization to ensure the success of the tournament.

Through the working session with the DOCST, I highly appreciate the determination, strictness and carefulness of the department in preparation steps prior to submitting the plan for the PPC to issue a document, sending it to the Vietnam Volleyball Federation to register the venue for the 2025 Asian Women's Beach Volleyball Championship.

For a locality hosting an Asian tournament for the first time like Phu Yen, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation will strive to support the locality with expertise and experience. The goal is for the tournament to be successful; Phu Yen province to be known by numerous people, contributing to promoting and developing tourism more and more.

The province needs to notice that if hosting the 2025 Asian Women's Beach Volleyball Championship, the reception needs to be well-prepared, creating positive impressions for athletes from other countries coming to Phu Yen. The first impression is very important, which is the premise for athletes to compete well, ensuring expertise and living during the tournament. In addition, the organizing board also needs to have accompanying activities, contributing to attracting public attention, promoting famous landscapes, and tourist destinations of Phu Yen.
