Thanh Tuyen rice flour and glutinous rice flour are products crafted from fragrant rice and glutinous rice, produced by the Vo Thi Thanh Tuyen business household (Bac Ly Quarter, Cung Son Town, Son Hoa District). Renowned for its quality, food safety, and natural flavor, this product has been recognized with a 3-star OCOP certification and received support for promotion and distribution on the province’s e-commerce platform, gaining recognition among consumers both within and beyond the province.
According to Mr Le Dinh Thong, Director of the cooperative, since the product received 3-star OCOP certification and was promoted on the online trading system with support from the Department of Industry and Trade, it has gained recognition and received customer orders. In the near future, the cooperative plans to launch six new products and integrate them into the system, alongside an independent fan page and various e-commerce platforms. This initiative aims to expand market reach, enhance brand visibility, and boost product consumption for the cooperative.
Dong Cam chili sauce, a 3-star OCOP product of Hoa Hoi Agricultural Service Cooperative (Hoa Hoi Commune, Phu Hoa District), is crafted from VietGAP-certified bird's eye chili using traditional processing methods. This ensures the sauce retains its distinctive red color, intense spiciness, and strong fragrance, complemented by a subtle sour note, making it a suitable seasoning for the processing of dishes. The product has successfully reached a wide range of customers through online platforms.
The Department of Industry and Trade has recently actively supported the promotion and consumption of products through the province's e-commerce platform. Up to now, the unit has supported the promotion and introduction of 335 typical products of localities to the market; this is one of the tasks contributing to promoting e-commerce development in the area.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade, in the period 2021-2025, the province sets the goal of organizing and implementing solutions to develop e-commerce; supporting the widespread application of e-commerce in enterprises and communities; supporting the digital transformation process of small and medium-sized enterprises; enhancing business competitiveness; enhancing provincial competitiveness; and driving the growth of both the domestic market and exports.
Specifically, the province strives for 70% of enterprise and business establishment e-commerce websites in the area to integrate the online ordering function; 50% of small and medium-sized enterprises conduct business activities on e-commerce platforms; 40% of enterprises participate in e-commerce through mobile applications; 90% of supermarkets, shopping centers, and modern distribution establishments allow and facilitate cashless payment options for consumers; 500 turns of enterprises, cooperatives, production and business establishments, and state managers participate in training courses on e-commerce application skills...
Mr Nguyen Hai Trieu, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, stated that the introduction of products from local businesses and production establishments on the province's e-commerce platform, https://phuyentrade.gov.vn, has yielded positive results. The industry and trade sector will collaborate with branches, localities, and businesses to further leverage e-commerce advantages, facilitating the efficient promotion and distribution of local products quickly to customers. "The unit also continues to support enterprises, production and business establishments, and cooperatives of the province to equip themselves with online sales management skills; promote trade promotion activities; improve competitiveness in production and business; expand markets; and develop a smart and modern distribution system in order to create a long-term and sustainable connection with consumers," said Mr Nguyen Hai Trieu.
