Addressing the Techfest Phu Yen 2024 opening, PPC Vice Chairman Dao My emphasized, "This time, Techfest Phu Yen aims to motivate and spread the spirit of innovative entrepreneurship across all classes of the province's population. Simultaneously, raising awareness and innovating thinking to develop Phu Yen's innovative start-up ecosystem through the platforms of the digital transformation ecosystem, incubation, support, investment, start-ups, and resource connections among advisors, investors, start-up experts, and successful entrepreneurs. Furthermore, raising awareness and capacity to create actionable breakthroughs for more effective and sustainable tourism development through digital start-ups, green start-ups, social start-ups, and start-ups supporting ethnic minorities".
The PPC Vice Chairman suggested that in the coming time, the Department of Science and Technology shall assume the prime responsibility for and coordinate with other departments, branches, and localities to organize more activities focused on skill-building and innovation aiming to create opportunities for organizations, individuals, and people to exchange, learn, and grasp. Especially scientific and technological achievements from thinking, innovation, to practical applications in everyday life.

Following the opening speech, provincial leaders, departments, and agencies pressed the button to launch the Phu Yen Technology Exchange to showcase and offer some advanced technologies from Phu Yen and other provinces and cities; hold seminars; and introduce technologies, including the biochar production process from agricultural and livestock waste, as well as Khang Chau Technology for Swiftlet Nest Processing.
During the festival, there was also a program of signing cooperation on science and technology and innovation between the Department of Science and Technology and the following units: Provincial Business Association, Provincial Business Association, Provincial Women's Union, Phu Yen Vocational College, Mien Trung Industry And Trade College, Mien Trung University of Civil Engineering.
