On the flood-evacuation and rescue bypass route connecting the districts and city of Tay Hoa, Phu Hoa, Tuy Hoa, and Tuy An, construction teams have mobilized nearly 50 workers and engineers, along with dozens of rollers, dump trucks, graders, and excavators to focus on asphalt paving. Nearby, Another crew is installing traffic safety installations such as delineator posts and traffic signs, etc.

Mr. Ho Quang Thang, Chief Commander of the flood-evacuation and rescue bypass route project (Tan Lap Co., Ltd.), stated: "As of now, all bridge and culvert components along the N1 canal section have been 100% completed. Regarding the main route, construction teams have essentially finished roadside slope and longitudinal drain reinforcement, and are currently deploying multiple teams to complete the crushed stone base layer for sections Km17+00 to Km17+100 and Km18+350 to Km18+680, as well as asphalt paving. For the bypass section north of Phu Hoa Town (from Km20+670.48 to Km21+274), the contractor has basically completed the drainage system, cross culverts, sidewalks, street lighting, and the remaining asphalt surfacing. The total value of construction works performed to date has reached VND 65 billion, equivalent to nearly 95% of the contracted construction value."

According to the Provincial Project Management Unit for Construction Investment, Package 01EC of the flood-evacuation and rescue bypass route - connecting Tay Hoa, Phu Hoa, Tuy Hoa City, and Tuy An (Step 1 – Stage 2) - covers the sections from Km17+00 to Km20+670.48 and from Km20+670.48 to Km21+274. The project is divided into several sub-sections. Of these, the section from Km17+00 to Km20+670.48 has a roadbed width of 9 meters, while the section from Km20+670.48 to Km21+274 features a 21.25-meter-wide roadbed. Construction began in August 2020 and has so far met or exceeded the planned progress schedule.

From the very first day of construction, the flood-evacuation and rescue bypass route connecting Tay Hoa, Phu Hoa, Tuy Hoa City, and Tuy An has received strong support and attention from local authorities and residents.

Mr. Le Van Du, a resident of Hoa My Tay Commune (Tay Hoa District), shared: "Previously, this road was just a narrow concrete path running along the N1 canal. Locals mainly used motorbikes or small trucks to reach their farms and transport agricultural goods. However, households needing to harvest acacia or transport crops using larger trucks had to incur additional costs for transshipment using smaller vehicles and take a detour nearly 20 kilometers longer. That's why when the government started building this road, everyone was very happy and excited. I hope the entire route will be completed soon to make travel more convenient for local people".

Mr. Dam Thanh Phong, Head of Quality Management Division 3 (under the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board), stated: "The flood-evacuation and rescue bypass route connecting Tay Hoa, Phu Hoa, Tuy Hoa City, and Tuy An is one of the province's key transportation projects. Once completed, the road will not only improve transport infrastructure but also facilitate travel and the transportation of goods and agricultural products, contributing to local socio-eco development. It will also play a vital role in supporting emergency rescue and evacuation efforts during critical situations. Currently, the contractor is finalizing the remaining construction work, aiming to complete the project within May and put it into operation from early June 2025".
