Tuy Hoa City is currently clearing land for 70 projects, including those invested by the provincial authority and those under the city's management. The local is prioritizing urgent projects, while the remaining projects are being implemented according to their scheduled timelines.
Mr. Tra Kim Hoi, Director of the Project Management Board for Investment and Land Fund Development of Tuy Hoa City, stated: From now until the end of June, the city will focus on urgent projects invested by the provincial government. These include 2 social housing projects covering 4.6 hectares within the technical infrastructure of the southern area of the Sao Viet Ecotourism Zone and the residential area west of the Submarine Convalescent Center in An Phú Commune; the adjacent urban residential area north of Tran Phu Street (Phase 1); 2 road projects - the coastal road connecting Tuy An District with Tuy Hoa City, and Nguyen Huu Tho Street (from the western section of the Provincial General Hospital to Nguyen Trai Street, and from Le Thanh Phuong Street to Nguyen Tat Thanh Street); the Ho Son regulating reservoir project and surrounding infrastructure; and the land designated for the Phu Yen Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital project.
"Among these projects, 3 have achieved a site clearance rate of over 90%. Currently, there are 16 remaining cases that have not yet handed over the land. The city has scheduled to enforce land clearance for 6 of these cases during May and June; the remaining households are expected to accept compensation and hand over the land based on the newly adjusted plan. For the other ongoing projects, in order to expedite site clearance, we have conducted surveys, measurements, and cadastral mapping; carried out ownership verification; and are working on land valuation and developing compensation, support, and resettlement plans for affected households", Mr. Hoi shared.
In order to enhance the appeal of the coastal area, since 2022, Tuy Hoa City has implemented a pilot project for marine sports and recreational activities. To date, the Tuy Hoa beach area has launched 7 service packages linked to dining, accommodation, and sports entertainment activities, etc.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thái Tuyen, Deputy Director of the Public Service Management Board of Tuy Hoa City, 6 companies are currently operating along the beach and coastal waters of Tuy Hoa. These include: IALC Vietnam Co., Ltd.; Phu Yen Tourist Trading and Service Co., Ltd.; Thien Quang Fashion Joint Stock Company; Viet Beach Housing Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company; H.T Trading, Service and Media Co., Ltd.; and Viet My A\&V Investment, Trading and Service Joint Stock Company. These companies are currently engaged in the business of beverages and souvenirs. To date, their constructions remain temporary and do not reflect the status of the central coastal area of the province. Notably, these entities have yet to implement water-based recreational and sports activities. To address these existing limitations, the city has conducted inspections and issued reminders to these business establishments to comply fully with the terms of their signed contracts.
According to Mr. Nguyen The Son, representative of Phu Yen Tourist Trading and Service Co., Ltd., to ensure aesthetic appeal, the company uses materials such as wood and lightweight concrete, designed with an open space concept to create a connection between the business area, the road, the coastline, and the water surface. Regarding marine sports activities, the company has assembled equipment including speedboats, jet skis, and parasailing gear, and has received a business operation certificate for sports activities from the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. However, the company has yet to implement these activities in practice as it needs to complete training courses on equipment management and operation to ensure visitor safety…
