Phu Yen promoting its image and calling for investment cooperation in Switzerland

Within the framework of the work program in Europe, from June 10-11 (local time), in Switzerland, Phu Yen PPC leaders and the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnamese localities implemented image promotion programs, calling for investment cooperation.

At the seminar "Comprehensive Partnership between Vietnam and Switzerland on the potential for cooperation between localities of Vietnam and Switzerland" held on June 10 (local time), comrade Le Tan Ho, Provincial Party Standing Committee Member, PPC Permanent Vice Chairman introduced the potential and opportunities for investment cooperation in the locality, especially in the field of renewable energy and logistics infrastructure.

Phu Yen is strategically located in the South Central Coast region, with a diversified and convenient transport infrastructure system, full of types including roads, airways, railways and seaports; especially the deep-water port of the Goc Beach is capable of welcoming ships of up to 250,000 tons.

In terms of renewable energy, the province has a lot of potential for development. There are currently 6 solar power plants operating with a total capacity of 504MW and a 200MW wind power project is underway. By 2030, Phu Yen plans 25 power projects with a total capacity of more than 1,500MW.

The leaders of Phu Yen PPC emphasized their commitment to attracting investment in the direction of sustainable development, linking economic growth with environmental protection. Phu Yen especially wants Swiss corporations and businesses to pay attention to research and invest in provincial fields with advantages.

"The success of investors is the success of Phu Yen", said PPC Permanent Vice Chairman Le Tan Ho simultaneously expressing the expectation that the seminar would be a bridge to promote the wave of Swiss investment in Phu Yen and Vietnam.

Furthermore, in the work program in Switzerland, PPC leaders and the delegation visited and worked with the Swiss Innovation Industrial Center and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Northwest Switzerland - one of the leading training and applied research institutions in Switzerland.
