As part of the Vietnam Local Promotion Program in the Czech Republic, Belgium, and Switzerland, on June 3 (local time), the Phu Yen provincial delegation held a working session with the authorities of Karlovy Vary Province, Czech Republic.

The working delegation from Phu Yen Province was led by comrade Le Tan Ho, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and PPC Permanent Vice Chairman. Accompanying him were leaders from various departments and agencies, including the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Finance, Provincial Police, and the PPC Office.
At the meeting, comrade Le Tan Ho, PPC Permanent Vice Chairman, presented an overview of the province’s potential, strengths, and sustainable development orientation. Comrade Le Tan Ho expressed his hope that the leadership of Karlovy Vary Province would support Phu Yen in promoting its image, potential, and advantages. Comrade Le Tan Ho also called for enhanced cooperation with businesses in Karlovy Vary and the Czech Republic in key sectors where both sides hold comparative strengths and development prospects, such as: agriculture, seaport development, renewable energy, marine tourism, conservation and promotion of historical-cultural heritage and natural landmarks, science and technology, high-tech industries, and supporting industries, etc.
Ms. Andrea Pfeffer Ferklová, Mayor of Karlovy Vary, highly appreciated the interest shown by Vietnamese localities and expressed her desire to promote effective cooperation - particularly in activities related to the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic and across Europe.
Karlovy Vary is a renowned tourism hub in the Czech Republic, often referred to as the "cinema capital" and one of the world's leading spa towns, boasting a network of hot springs, accommodation facilities, and modern tourism infrastructure.
On June 4 (local time), the delegation from Phu Yen Province held a working session with the Embassy of Vietnam in the Czech Republic and attended a seminar on connecting localities with the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic.
Addressing the seminar, PPC Standing Vice Chairman, comrade Le Tan Ho, shared with overseas Vietnamese and Vietnamese businesses and entrepreneurs in the Czech Republic and Europe about the recent changes and development of Phu Yen Province, particularly in transportation infrastructure, urban development, and tourism services, etc.
Phu Yen Province currently has been equipped with a full range of transportation infrastructure, including roadways, railways, airways, and waterways. The province also boasts several hotels and tourist resorts that meet international standards. Recently, Phu Yen has completed its Provincial Planning for the period up to 2030, with a vision toward 2050, outlining clear and breakthrough development orientations. These include a focus on developing key driving industries such as metallurgy, petrochemical refining, and energy, while identifying tourism as a spearhead economic sector.
The PPC Permanent Vice Chairman emphasized that Phu Yen is ready to welcome and create the most favorable conditions for overseas Vietnamese, entrepreneurs, and intellectuals to invest in the province and contribute to the development of their homeland.
