From May 13 to June 19, the People's Committee of Tuy Hoa City conducted multiple on-site inspections of the implementation progress of key projects across the city. In parallel, city leaders gathered information from project investors and local authorities to promptly direct relevant departments and agencies to resolve issues, address backlogs, and accelerate project implementation.
According to Mr. Tra Kim Hoi, Director of the Tuy Hoa City Project Management Board for Construction Investment and Land Development, when the investor of the Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital project reported remaining land clearance issues that could hinder completion of the project within this year as planned, city leaders immediately requested relevant departments to explain the reasons, propose solutions, and conduct field inspections to verify the claims. In reality, the area designated for hospital construction is not obstructed; the remaining issue involves a few households whose land lies near the perimeter wall. The city’s leadership has directed a definitive resolution of the matter.
By May 13, 98% of the entire project area had been handed over, equivalent to 2,15/2,19ha. There are 3/43 subjects who have not yet handed over the site, the city also has a compensation adjustment plan. By June 6, the participants approved and signed the handover minutes. Therefore, this project has completed the handover of the site to the investor to reach 100%.
Comrade Cao Dinh Huy, Chairman of the City People's Committee, said: The PPC has just approved the investment policy of two social housing projects in Tuy Hoa city. In which, there is an adjacent urban residential area project north of Trần Phú Street phase 1 with an area of 0.82 ha of 128 plots. In April 2025, the city issued Decision 2565 to establish a work group to monitor, direct and implement compensation and site clearance of this land; by May 13, the land clearance was over 90%, the remaining 0.08 ha (4 plots) had houses. Up to now, the city has cleared the ground for this project to reach 100%.
Chairman of Tuy Hoa City People's Committee Cao Dinh Huy added: Social housing projects in the area are part of an investment project to build at least 1 million social housing units for low-income people in the province. The biggest goal is to solve the housing needs of the beneficiaries of social housing policies; form social housing in the form of condominiums, synchronize technical and social infrastructure, as well as concretize the detailed planning adjustment plan. Therefore, the acceleration of social housing projects is of great significance to the community and social protection.
Furthermore, the Ho Son Regulating Reservoir Project and surrounding infrastructure is not only associated with Ho Son park, a highlight ecological public works of the city, which attracts a large number of people and visitors to sightsee, relax but also flood drainage and climate control works that contribute significantly to environmental protection, towards climate change adaptation. This project will soon be completed, which will contribute to increasing the urban beauty of the city's central park.
"For the Phu Yen Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital project, so far in Dak Lak province, there is no maternity and pediatrics hospital, so Phu Yen Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital coming into operation this year will be an important work in completing the medical infrastructure of the new province," added Mr. Tra Kim Hoi.
In addition to the above projects, some projects invested by the province, Tuy Hoa city is also promoting compensation, site clearance and completing the necessary procedures to hand over to wards, communes and management units after July 1, 2025 when implementing the two-level government.
For two projects, the technical infrastructure of the residential area in the South of Tuy Hoa New Urban Area; the central park in the South of Tuy Hoa New Urban Area, the implementation volume is less than 30%; therefore, Phu Yen ward and the Provincial Land Fund Development Center will take over.
