The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council has just held the 27th Session (special session) chaired by Mrs. Cao Thi Hoa An, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Le Thanh Dong, Member of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Do Thai Phong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Council considered, gave opinions and approved the policy of arranging commune-level administrative units in the province; discussed and approved the policy of merging the two provinces of Phu Yen and Dak Lak to establish the new Dak Lak province. Simultaneously, it numerous important contents were considered and approved, which are the strategic turning points for the sustainable and comprehensive development of Phu Yen in the new period.
Prior to voting to approve the resolutions, the delegates discussed the contents related to collecting people's opinions on the Project of arranging commune-level administrative units; naming streets, renaming public works in Tuy Hoa city, in which, delegates were interested in using the name “Phu Yen” for the new commune-level administrative unit and the largest square in this locality before Phu Yen province merges with Dak Lak province and some important contents related to adding social housing development targets to the socio-economic development plan for 2025; adjusting and supplementing the Medium-term Public Investment Plan for the period of 2021 - 2025 and 2025, etc.
After a serious and highly responsible working session, the 27th Session completed all the proposed contents and programs. Delegates attending the session reviewed and unanimously voted to pass 8 thematic resolutions to promptly concretize the Central's policies and legal regulations in the specific conditions of the locality.
Addressing at the closing session, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, Mrs. Cao Thi Hoa An affirmed: This session is a “historic” session of the Phu Yen Provincial People's Council. The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial People's Committee to promptly direct, synthesize and complete the dossier of the Project on rearranging provincial-level administrative units and the dossier of the Project on rearranging communal-level administrative units, coordinate with the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee to submit to competent authorities according to regulations; at the same time, proactively organizing and implementing the following tasks to ensure progress according to the direction of the Central Government; continuing to strengthen propaganda work in the province's political system, especially among cadres, Party members and people to create consensus, solidarity and high unity in implementing the policies of the Central Government and the province; effectively implementing tasks and solutions to achieve the economic growth target of 8% set in 2025.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Boards of the Provincial People's Council's, the delegation groups and the delegates of the Provincial People's Council to continue to promote the sense of responsibility of the people's representatives, strengthen close ties, listen to the reflections, thoughts and aspirations of voters, actively promote information and propaganda work, especially the arrangement of the organization of the commune and provincial level apparatus so that the people and voters in the province can agree, support and well implement the resolutions passed by the Provincial People's Council.
All levels, sectors, localities and news agencies and press agencies should do a decent job of information and orientation work in the spirit of closely following the Party's guidelines and the State's laws and policies to create high consensus among the people, with the goal of the common development of the country and the province. Heads of agencies and units shall strengthen the work of grasping the sentiments and feelings, thoroughly grasp the staff, civil servants, public employees and workers under their management to make the greatest efforts and best fulfill their assigned duties and tasks before, during and after the reorganization of the apparatus at all levels.
