The Steering Committee for the Development of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation of Phu Yen Province (hereinafter referred to as the Provincial Steering Committee) recently held a conference to implement key upcoming tasks, chaired by comrade Cao Thi Hoa An, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council, and Head of the Steering Committee.

In recent times, the Provincial Party Committee has issued Resolution No. 47-NQ/TU on the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation; established the Provincial Steering Committee for the Development of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation, as well as the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation within the Provincial Party Organizations. The implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW by the Politburo and Resolution No. 47-NQ/TU by the Provincial Party Committee has initially fostered a spirit of innovation throughout the political system. This has helped raise awareness and translated the resolutions into concrete and practical action programs, while also laying the foundation for mechanisms that support the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

At the conference, delegates discussed the proposal to merge the Steering Committee for the Development of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation of Phu Yen Province with the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation within the Provincial Party Organizations. They also reviewed and provided feedback on several key draft documents, including: the Regulations issued by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee outlining the functions, tasks, powers, working mechanisms, and inter-agency coordination of the Provincial Steering Committee; the Decision on the Working Regulations of the Committee; the Notification of Task Assignments for its members; the Decision on the Establishment of a Supporting Task Force; the Committee’s Work Program for 2025; the Digital Transformation Plan for Party organizations in Phu Yen; and the Implementation Plan of the Standing Committee for Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024, issued by the Politburo, which focuses on breakthrough development in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation across the province.

Concluding the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Cao Thi Hoa An requested the Office of the Provincial Party Committee, in coordination with relevant agencies, to promptly advise and issue documents to assist the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee in effectively leading and directing the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation across the province. Party committees, Party organizations, sectors, agencies, and units should focus on researching, developing, and effectively implementing plans for the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation that are feasible and suited to the practical realities and specific characteristics of each unit; encourage the participation of the entire society, maximizing the combined strength of the political system, businesses, and the public in advancing the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

The Head of the Steering Committee Cao Thi Hoa An, requested the PPC Party Committee to lead and direct the PPC in expediting the progress of digitizing documents and materials, especially at the district level. Efforts should be focused on accelerating the implementation of digital transformation tasks to better serve the public. Sectors must review the development of their respective databases, proactively select several key tasks to implement immediately, and achieve initial results in order to carry out Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and Resolution No. 47-NQ/TU.
