On June 23, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision to establish Phu Yen Newspaper and decisions on personnel work.

At the conference, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Organizing Committee Luu Vinh Hung announced Decision 1659-QD/TU, dated June 10, 2025 of the Provincial Party Committee on the merger of Phu Yen Newspaper and Phu Yen Radio and Television into Phu Yen Newspaper. Phu Yen Newspaper is a public non-business unit under Phu Yen Provincial Party Committee, with legal status, officially put into operation on June 23, 2025.The conference also announced the decisions of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on the personnel work of Phu Yen Newspaper after the merger.

Accordingly, assigning and appointing comrade Dao Pham Hoang Quyen, Provincial Party Committee member, Director of Department of Science and Technology to serve as Editor-in-Chief of Phu Yen Newspaper.

The Deputy Editors-in-Chief of Phu Yen Newspaper include: Mr. Nguyen Khanh Minh, Ms. Pham Thi Minh Nguyet, Mr. Pham Van Tri, and Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh.

Addressing to congratulate leaders, officials, reporters, editors, technicians and workers of Phu Yen Newspaper on entering a new period of important historical significance; Provincial Party Secretary Cao Thi Hoa An emphasized: "We have just marked a historic milestone - the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day  and are now ready in spirit to unite under one roof with Dak Lak Province. The arrangement and merger of the two major press agencies of the province is a step to concretize the Directive Conclusions of the Politburo and the Secretariat on a number of contents and tasks to continue arranging and streamlining the organizational structure of the political system; is a strategic solution to enhance the quality and effectiveness of communication efforts, contributing to bringing the province's image closer to people across the country and international friends.

In order to meet the increasingly higher requirements on the quality and efficiency of the press agency in the new situation, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee asked the leaders of Phu Yen Newspaper to quickly stabilize the apparatus, develop operation regulations, focus on researching new work tasks according to the prescribed functions and tasks; consolidate the team, assign the tasks of each leader and member of the organization to immediately embark on the work, without delay, interruption, omission of work; ensure the solidarity, unity, maximum promotion of each individual's capacity and collective strength. Newly appointed leaders must always uphold the spirit of responsibility, example, innovate management and leadership thinking with a strategic vision and a democratic, dynamic and creative management style.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also asked the Editorial Board of Phu Yen Newspaper to capture the thoughts and feelings of officials, reporters, editors and technicians to have harmony, create solidarity and unity in action. The contingent of cadres, reporters, editors and technicians need to actively study, improve their professional skills, quickly adapt to the new operating model, and strive to create quality, attractive and politically-oriented journalistic products that are in line with the trend of modern journalism. Phu Yen Newspaper must do a good job of keeping historical records and documents. Departments, branches, localities and units throughout the province continue to closely coordinate and create favorable conditions for Phu Yen Newspaper to perform their assigned political tasks.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized: "The road ahead still has many difficulties and challenges, but I believe that, with the tradition of solidarity, responsibility and continuous efforts of officials, reporters, officials and workers, Phu Yen Newspaper Agency will successfully complete the assigned tasks, truly become a shock force on the ideological - cultural front of the province".

Addressing the task, on behalf of the Editorial Board of Phu Yen Newspaper, the Editor-in-Chief of Phu Yen Newspaper Dao Pham Hoang Quyen expressed her deep respect and thanks to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Standing Committee for entrusting tasks to the Newspaper Editorial Board at a very special time.

Editor-in-Chief of Phu Yen Newspaper Dao Pham Hoang Quyen expressed: The Editorial Board of Phu Yen Newspaper affirms that from now until the official merger of the two provinces, time is counted not in days but in hours. Meanwhile, the workload following the decision to merge the Newspaper and the Radio and Television Station is immense. It requires every individual from the Editorial Board and department leaders to staff members to exert maximum effort with 200% capacity, focusing on getting the job done, not just working until the clock runs out. Phu Yen Newspaper has to ensure the continuous flow of current information of the province on all types: Print, video, online and radio newspapers, and urgently complete the basic arrangement of streamlining the organizational apparatus, building unified working regulations, internal spending regulations. Carefully prepare for the merger with the new agency, operation starting from July 1, 2025 according to general regulations; especially the task of focusing on deep propaganda for the process of merging the province - a major policy of the Party and the State.

Editor-in-Chief of Phu Yen Newspaper, Dao Pham Hoang Quyen, affirmed that the Editorial Board will remain united, uphold collective wisdom, and act with fairness and objectivity in implementing the restructuring plan for Phu Yen Newspaper, striving to be worthy of the trust placed in them by the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Party Executive Committee. She also expressed her hope to continue receiving close leadership and guidance, as well as the support and favorable conditions from the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and the Fatherland Front Committee, to enable Phu Yen Newspaper to successfully fulfill all assigned tasks.

According to the project, after the merger, Phu Yen Newspaper is a public non-business unit under the Provincial Party Committee, operating in many types with 4 platforms: print newspaper, online newspaper, radio and television. The organizational structure of the newspaper consists of 8 specialized departments. After the merger, Phu Yen Newspaper implemented 134 existing payrolls of 2 units.
