June 21 this year with Vietnamese journalists is definitely a special, memorable and very proud occasion, because it is the moment marking the great event, the first century of Vietnamese journalism. The glory of a century of accompanying the nation, the leadership and care of the Party and State, and the belief and expectation of the People in the press will be the luggage and fulcrum for Vietnamese journalists in general and Phu Yen in particular to be stronger and more determined in the era of development.

100 years ago - on June 21, 1925, leader Nguyen Ai Quoc founded Thanh Niên newspaper - the predecessor newspaper that paved the way for the development of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism. Under the leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, the Vietnamese revolutionary press has always been a core force, making great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the country. At any time, Vietnam's revolutionary press strives to overcome difficulties and challenges, constantly making efforts to contribute to the implementation of the mission of building and protecting the Fatherland.

Proud of the Vietnamese revolutionary press for a century, we are also very proud of Phu Yen's press with the revolutionary service of the Party and the people. Over the past 100 years, the press and the team of Phu Yen journalists have been loyal, creative, contributing to the heroic history of the homeland and the country. Accompanying from the days of struggle, sacrifice and hardship of the revolution to the renovation and integration, Phu Yen press has always been a pioneering force on the ideological-cultural front, an important bridge between the Party, State and People, reflecting the vitality of labor, fighting and building the homeland.

With a strong team of journalists, along with hundreds of collaborators and non-professional journalists, Phu Yen journalism has contributed to strongly spreading Phu Yen's image of innovation, potential and strong development. The newspaper plays a good role in propagating and disseminating the guidelines, lines and policies of the Party and the State; comprehensively reflecting the achievements of the province in performing political tasks, building the Party and political system; conveying the efforts to renew the leadership, direction and administration of the Party and government; introducing and promoting the image of Phu Yen homeland and people; informing and propagating in natural disasters, storms, floods, epidemics... Press agencies in the area have constantly innovated and improved the quality of both content and form; strongly applied digital transformation, professionalized the production and distribution process of products.

In addition to spreading positive values, new models, good practices, and typical examples, the provincial press also promptly detected and condemned negative acts, struggled with corruption, waste, wrongful and hostile views. Promoting the role of social criticism, press agencies have closely followed grassroots practices, promptly detected and reflected limitations and shortcomings in all fields; proactively proposed solutions to remove difficulties, contributing to the improvement of guidelines, mechanisms and policies. In particular, the active, responsible and humane participation of press agencies has contributed to sharing difficulties with vulnerable people, accompanying local authorities in ensuring social security.

Building a professional, humane and modern press

Currently, Phu Yen is working with the whole country to carry out a revolution in streamlining the organizational structure, streamlining payroll, building a two-level local government model, and arranging commune-level administrative units; promoting scientific and technological breakthroughs, innovation, and digital transformation. This is also an accelerated period to prepare for the organization of the Party Congress at all levels tenure 2025-2030, proceeding to the 14^th National Congress of the Party. All levels, branches and units need to pay attention to building a team of journalists with ethics, ideals, professional qualifications, theory, political bravery, professional and modern working style; always creative and aspiring to contribute; really are typical and exemplary examples, leading in all fronts, especially the front of information, propaganda and struggle to prevent peaceful developments, "self-evolution", "self-transformation" internally.

The 100^th anniversary is an important and proud milestone for journalists. The glorious tradition of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism will be the fulcrum and great encouragement for the team of Phu Yen journalists today to unite, create and confidently continue the glorious history that previous generations have created and built professional, humane and modern journalism.
