In Tuy Hoa City, Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee have just celebrated the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025) and awarded the 18th Phu Yen Provincial Press Award in 2024.

At the ceremony, PPC Permanent Vice Chairman Le Tan Ho addressed to review the 100-year glorious journey of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press, starting on June 21, 1925 with the birth of the Youth Newspaper founded by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc. On behalf of the provincial Party Committee and government, comrade Le Tan Ho acknowledged and praised the great achievements that local and central press agencies, and all reporters and journalists in the province have achieved.
Expressing deep gratitude to the press agencies and the team of journalists who have accompanied in the work of promoting the image and people of Phu Yen to domestic and international readers; comrade Le Tan Ho believes that the team of journalists in the province will continue the tradition of previous generations, always worthy of being pioneering and steadfast revolutionary soldiers on the ideological - cultural front of the Party and the nation, making an important contribution to the development of the country, building an increasingly rich and civilized homeland.
According to comrade Le Tan Ho, in the current context, the whole provincial political system is focusing on organizing the apparatus to ensure the official operation of the two-level local government from July 1, 2025. This is a large and important policy for the provincial development. Therefore, news agencies and the press need to focus on propagating and mobilizing extensively so that cadres, civil servants, officials, workers and the people agree to support the general policy of the Party and the State.
In order to complete political tasks and achieve more achievements, the PPC Standing Vice Chairman asked officials, journalists and reporters in the province to continue promoting their role on the front to protect the Party's ideological foundation, fight against wrong views, especially malicious information on the internet and social networks. "Our journalists are not only messengers, but also faith builders, inspirers and pioneers" on the ideological-cultural front, as a bridge between the government and the people and businesses. Journalists should continue to uphold the sense of responsibility, improve political bravery, improve professional ethics, make creative efforts, protect the right, frankly fight against negative things and strictly comply with the 10 Regulations on professional ethics of journalists.

PPC Standing Vice Chairman Le Tan Ho also asked Party committees, authorities and localities to closely coordinate, create favorable conditions for press activities, proactively provide information and focus on improving the effectiveness of state management of press work. Press agencies and the Provincial Journalists Association need to constantly improve operational efficiency, promote digital transformation, improve the quality and interactivity of online newspapers, catch up with the multi-platform communication trend; simultaneously, strengthen the management, training and fostering the contingent of journalists with solid political qualities, professional skills, clear professional ethics, and placing special emphasis on promoting the image, potential, and strengths of Phu Yen to investors and partners both domestically and internationally.
At the ceremony, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Cao Thi Hoa An presented a poster to the Journalists Association of Phu Yen province with the words: "Promoting the tradition of 100 years of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism, Phu Yen Press is brave, professional, humane, creative, firmly entering a new era". Provincial leaders congratulated press agencies with flowers. Delegates and journalists watched the report "Phu Yen revolutionary journalism - A century journey".
At this event, Phu Yen province summarized and awarded the 18th Provincial Press Award in 2024. The award has received enthusiastic response from journalists working at provincial press agencies, resident reporters... According to the Provincial Press Awards Council, the quality of works participating in the 18th Provincial Press Awards in 2024 is somewhat more advanced and uniform than in previous years.
The themes of the works provide a comprehensive reflection of political, socio-eco, and public security issues in Phu Yen Province and the country as a whole; closely following current events, particularly those matters of public concern, such as: personnel preparation for the Party Congresses at all levels; the 60th anniversary of the arrival of the "No Number" ship at Vũng Rô; major ongoing projects in Phu Yen; the province's planning and strategic vision for the future; activities to honor and support those who rendered service to the nation; transformations in ethnic minority communities; successful production models and exemplary individuals; Party-building efforts; and certain negative issues related to land use; ect.
From more than 100 works eligible for the award, through the preliminary and final rounds, the Provincial Press Award Council selected 36 works to submit to the PPC for the 18th Phu Yen Provincial Press Award in 2024, including 4 works that won the A prize, 8 works that won the B prize, 12 works that won the C prize and 12 works that won the consolation prize.
