With the determination to "No one is left behind," through support programs and policies, poverty reduction has been strongly led and directed by party committees and authorities at all levels; many solutions to help impoverished households escape sustainable poverty and rise in life have been implemented.

As 2025 marks the final year of implementing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the 2021-2025 period, the entire province is intensifying efforts and proposing various solutions to accelerate poverty reduction and achieve the set goals.
According to the review data, the whole province has 6,483 poor households, accounting for 2.44%; near-poor households have 15,793 households, accounting for 5.95%. Mr Le Ngoc Son, Deputy Director of the Rural Development Department (Department of Agriculture and Environment), said: The whole province is drastically implementing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021-2025 in a multi-dimensional, inclusive, sustainable manner, limiting re-poverty and poverty generation, in order to contribute to changing the socio-eco face in extremely difficult localities and communes; creating livelihoods to help poor households escape from poverty sustainably.
The province has also implemented models of livelihood diversification, poverty alleviation; support for production development, enhance vocational education, promote stable employment opportunities; and improve communication and access to information for poverty reduction.
The Vocational Education and Training (VET) Project 4 (under the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021-2025) has provided opportunities for many workers to secure employment and for poor households to escape poverty. Ms Le Xuan Thu, a resident of Xuan Tho 2 commune, Song Cau Town, shared: I previously worked as a worker at a company, but due to the low salary, I decided to leave and assist my family with farming. Later, I attended job connection and placement sessions organized by the Phu Yen Employment Service Center, which helped me find a suitable job at a company in the Northeast Sông Cầu Industrial Park.
According to Mr Le Ngoc Son, in implementing sustainable poverty reduction, in recent years, Party committees and local authorities have done a good job of propagating and disseminating the guidelines and policies of the Party and the State on sustainable poverty reduction, helping people and poor households and ethnic minorities understand the purpose and meaning of these guidelines and policies and striving for production labor to gradually increase income and rise out of poverty. The Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, together with authorities at all levels, have focused on propagating and participating in monitoring and evaluating the results of sustainable poverty reduction at the grassroots level, detecting shortcomings and limitations, and proposing competent agencies and levels to promptly solve for the people; mobilizing resources from the community, organizations, and individuals to support participation in sustainable poverty reduction with the motto "No one is left behind".
“In 2025, the province will focus on synchronously implementing solutions, focusing on supporting focused and sustainable production development. In particular, priority is given to supporting poor ethnic minority households, poor households whose members are people with meritorious services to the revolution, and children and women of poor households," said Le Ngoc Son. Accordingly, the province focuses on supporting poor households with laborers to develop production in the agricultural sector; guiding the transfer of science and technology; and providing knowledge and training on agricultural and forestry extension for workers of poor households on the basis of actual local conditions. Continue to implement projects to support production development in the agricultural sector that have been implemented effectively and in accordance with the available conditions of the project participants, in accordance with the potential advantages of the locality. Focus on the following contents: support for the development and renovation of methods and techniques of agricultural, forestry, and fishery production, training, and technical transfer; support for plant varieties, livestock, equipment, supplies, production tools, fertilizers, animal feed, plant protection drugs, veterinary medicine, and other supports as prescribed; and support for production development to ensure food security and meet nutritional needs. Simultaneously, training and consulting on agricultural product consumption management, piloting and scaling up innovative solutions to develop agricultural production in association with effective value chains.
