State President Luong Cuong has decided to spend more than 834 billion VND (32 million USD) to present gifts to those who rendered services to the nation on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975–2025) and the 80th anniversary of the country’s establishment (September 2, 1945–2025).

Under this decision, individuals who engaged in revolutionary activities from before January 1, 1945 to the August 1945 Revolution will receive a monetary gift of 500,000 VND each. This gesture will be extended to a wide range of beneficiaries, including wounded and sick veterans, heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes of the People's Armed Forces, and those granted the Labour Hero title during the resistance war era.
In addition, recipients will include individuals serving the resistance wars, affected by Agent Orange/dioxin and entitled to state support; those who assisted revolutionary forces, former revolutionaries, resistance fighters, the ones performing national defence and international missions but captured or imprisoned by enemy forces, and family members of fallen soldiers. Families with two or more war martyrs, representatives of martyrs' families, and those responsible for maintaining memorial altars in cases where no next of kin remain, will also receive this tribute.
This nationwide expression of gratitude will be disbursed on April 30, at the same time with the Reunification Day celebrations.
The spending will be fully covered by the central budget, in accordance with Clause 14, Article 170 of Decree No. 131/2021/ND-CP.
