The Steering Committee for the temporary and dilapidated houses in the province recently held a conference to review the 2025 Program for temporary and dilapidated houses across the province.

In the report at the conference, Comrade Tran Huu The, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and Vice Head of the Steering Committee, stated that as of June 25, the province had successfully completed the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households, near-poor households, policy beneficiaries, and people with meritorious services - surpassing the scheduled timeline set for August 31.
Accordingly, the whole province has completed 2.222/2 .235 houses (13 houses under construction will be completed before July 27), reaching 99.41% of the plan. Specifically, people with meritorious services to the revolution, relatives of martyrs completed 454/467 houses, the remaining 13 houses under construction will be completed before July 27; poor households and near-poor households completed 1.624/1.624 houses; poor households were supported with houses under the National Target Program for Socio-Eco Development of Ethnic Minority Areas in the area completed 144/144 houses.
Out of a total of 2,235 supported houses, there were 1,448 new builders, 787 repair houses with a total cost of more than 218.7 billion VND. In which, the state budget supports more than 77.9 billion VND, accounting for 35.62%; the mobilization budget according to the Central Steering Committee's plan is 20 billion VND (supported by Hoa Phat Group Joint Stock Company), accounting for 9.14%; Fund for the Poor at 3 levels mobilizes more than 20 billion VND, accounting for 9.18%; socialization mobilization source is more than 2.9°billion VND, accounting for 1.34%; The contribution of households is nearly°97.8 billion VND, accounting for 44.72%.
Furthermore, the Provincial Steering Committee also mobilized additional support for each new house construction of 9,100 bricks; house repair households are 3,900 bricks. Each locality mobilizes resources and participates in supporting nearly 9,000 additional working days (equivalent to more than 2.3 billion VND), building materials and essential supplies were contributed in the spirit of solidarity - "sharing food, sharing clothing" with the principle that whoever has money contributes money, whoever has effort contributes effort. This collective support aimed to help people, especially poor and near-poor households, have a proper home to live in, thereby enabling them to feel secure in their work and production. All households receiving housing support contributed matching funds from their families or clans and actively participated by contributing thousands of workdays during the construction process.
Addressing the conference, Comrade Cao Thị Hòa An expressed appreciation, recognition, and sincere thanks for the responsibility and determination demonstrated by all levels of government, sectors, socio-political organizations, armed forces, businesses, organizations, and individuals both inside and outside the province, as well as the unity and active participation of the people in implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses across the province. The Provincial Party Secretary highly praised the transparent and accountable implementation of the program, with strict oversight from the stages of survey, review, and beneficiary approval to construction and handover of housing.
“The success of the program is not only reflected in the number of houses built or repaired, but more importantly, it serves as a vivid testament to the spirit of solidarity, sharing, responsibility, and determination of the entire political system in caring for the People's well-being, thereby strengthening the public’s trust in the Party and the State”, emphasized Comrade Cao Thi Hoa An.
From July 1, 2025, the whole country implemented a two-level local government model - an important step that sets higher requirements for cadres, especially in being close to the grassroots, close to and listening to the People. Determining the movement to remove temporary and dilapidated houses is not only an immediate task but also a long-term responsibility and an important political task, especially in the context of the consolidation of Phu Yen province and Dak Lak province, expanding development space for localities, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Cao Thi Hoa An asked all levels of committees and People's Committees of localities and Fatherland Front to review housing support for households facing many housing difficulties, especially households that do not qualify as beneficiaries of this program. All levels, branches, localities and units continue to widely propagate among union members, members and the people about the purpose and meaning of the national emulation movement to join hands to remove temporary and dilapidated houses. Simultaneously, mobilizing more resources to support people, especially poor and near-poor households to have houses to live in, thereby ensuring labor and production.
On this occasion, the PPC Chairman awarded Certificates of Merit to 14 collectives and 9 individuals for their outstanding achievements in implementing the 2025 Program to temporary and dilapidated houses across the province.
