Although only 2 sessions have been organized (each session lasts 2 days on Saturday and Sunday of the week), according to the owners of the participating establishments, the market has made considerable contribution to promoting typical products, specialties, OCOP, craft villages in the area; helping businesses have more customers to distribute and consume.

At the Green Market, Ms Duong Thi Truc Linh, owner of the Ut Vung Tau organic kitchen spices business (ward 6, Tuy Hoa city) displayed 11 organic spices products, no preservatives such as chili sauce, tomato sauce, BBQ sauce, oyster sauce, spaghetti sauce, etc. with traditional flavors.

According to Ms. Linh, these products have been introduced inside and outside the province and even abroad. The raw materials to make the products are mainly from Phu Yen land and from clean, organic agricultural farms in Lam Dong and Gia Lai provinces. For the purpose of promoting the products, Ms. Linh continues to participate in the Green Market so that local people and tourists can know more about Phu Yen products, including Ut Vung Tau products.

Along with the goal of promoting, introducing, and connecting product consumption, the Green Market is also a place to connect with many attractive activities such as: Directly experiencing the pottery production model of Dong Hoa town, mat weaving model, souvenir products from sedge of Tuy An district; experiencing the services of painting statue, painting color, making sand-painting, enjoying cuisine, etc.

In addition, the organizing board coordinates with units to implement incentive programs, meaningful activities and receive the attention of many people; including the program that any customer buying at the booths with a total bill of over VND 1 million will be presented 1 environmental protection bag sponsored by the Green Development Support Center (GreenHub); or the program of buying a combo of 5 dried pineapple products (250,000 VND) and receiving 1 can of natural scented laundry detergent, etc.

In the second time organizing the Green Market, the organizing board combined to implement the model “Exchange plastic bottles, give away 10,000 liters of biological dish-washing liquid”. This is a model organized by Phu Yen Urban Environment Joint Stock Company in coordination with Dong Din General Agricultural Business Cooperative (Phu Hoa district), with the desire to spread a green, sustainable lifestyle, promote the habit of consuming recycled products, reduce plastic waste to protect the environment.

Mr Nguyen Hoang Chuong, Director of Dong Din General Agricultural Business Cooperative shared: We encourage everyone to collect used plastic bottles and beer cans and bring them to exchange for meaningful gifts. Our gift product is biological dish-washing liquid made from natural pineapple and some other products. This is an environmentally friendly and health safe product.

According to Mr Nguyen Hoang Chuong, a part of the profit from the model will be used to help disadvantaged children in the locality, contributing to creating community values, especially during the preparation for the Lunar New Year.

According to Mr Pham Van Than, CEO of Phu Yen Mandala Hotel & Spa, with the desire to help local people, tourists, and guests have a reputable place to visit, shop and access to foods, agricultural products, clean specialties, environmentally friendly products, etc. of Phu Yen land, the unit boldly coordinated to organize the Green Market.

In addition to the goal of promoting products and services, Phu Yen Mandala Hotel & Spa also wants to introduce local culture through performances and discussions, helping tourists and young people better understand unique craft village activities, volunteer activities for disadvantaged people, or spread the message of environmental protection, etc.

“In the coming time, the organizing board will coordinate with units to expand and carry out many different activities at the market, creating interesting sightseeing, shopping, and experiencing spots to attract tourists and people; it is expected that there will be STEM activities, health care, therapy spa, and culinary exchanges”, Mr Pham Van Than shared.
