Dong Hoa has a well-connected transportation network, including roads, railways, seaports, and its proximity to Tuy Hoa Airport. In recent years, the modern transportation system has contributed to the development of the town. Hung Vuong Street is one of the key arterial road of Dong Hoa Town. With this route, Dong Hoa urban gravity is almost balanced. The 42m wide and spacious road has created a new wind for coastal villages. On both sides of the road, houses and shops sprout up to create the bustle of the city.
Furthermore, the completion of the Deo Ca road tunnel, the upgrading and expansion of National Road 1, and the construction of National Road 29 have significantly improved Dong Hoa’s connectivity with neighboring provinces and the entire country. In the urban area, the town has also invested in a series of works such as Hoa Hiep Trung-Hoa Hiep Nam urban road, D7 planning road, under the detailed planning project of 1/500 riverside urban area from Ben Lon bridge to Ban Thach bridge (phase 1)... Besides, July 1 Square, Truong Thinh Park, and the greenery and lighting systems are constantly being invested in and upgraded.
In villages and hamlets, spacious roads now stretch far and wide, flanked by lush greenery and vibrant flowers, creating a bright, clean, and picturesque landscape. These improvements are the outcomes of years of dedicated efforts under the National Target Program on New Rural Construction. Ms Tran Thi My Tuyen, a resident of Hoa Thanh Commune, expressed her joy: "The town has transformed significantly towards modernity. Many roads have been straightened and are now illuminated at night. In the middle of the residential area are community living areas, equipped with physical training and sports equipment for entertainment. As a result, people's lives as improved remarkably compared to before".
Under Phu Yen Province's development plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision toward 2050, Dong Hoa Town is planned to function as a provincial dynamic economic region; urban development orientation with a focus on a multidisciplinary and multifunctional integrated economic zone, developing key industries such as metallurgy, petrochemical refining, and energy, etc. associated with seaports; becoming one of the national and regional tourism and service centers.
According to the Dong Hoa Town People's Committee, the town is currently home to two active industrial parks - Hoa Hiep 1 Industrial Park and Hoa Hiep 2 Industrial Park - serving as hubs for numerous manufacturing enterprises. Some enterprises have relatively large revenue, such as Thien An Biotechnology Joint Stock Company, Masan Brewery PY Co., Ltd., Semco Co., Ltd., Hoang Long Vina Co., Ltd., etc. These enterprises specialize in the production of beer cans, consumer plastic products, export-grade cashew nuts, various bamboo and rattan goods, as well as NPK and microbiological fertilizers.

This location is not only a significant historical and cultural destination but also captivates visitors with its stunning natural beauty.
Mr. Nguyen Le Vi Phuc, Dong Hoa Town People's Committee Chairman, said that the town is prioritizing investment in and management of historical sites and scenic attractions to foster tourism development.
